Top 5 HTC Radar

HTC have released the Radar to cautious acclaim, however after a good look at the phone we can say that the new Windows Mango operating system orientated device is one of the best cheap phone deals on the market – so what makes it so good.

Screen

The new HTC has an excellent WVGA 3.8inch screen that we must say we really enjoyed using. The whites, blacks and shadows were all very good and the colours offered were vast and dynamic on the screen, as was the fluidity of the images on busy scenes or sports. The screen was also good outside, even at a mid-brightness setting and we would say the screen is one of the best in its class.

Processor

The new Snapdragon chip of the HTC is also very good and we enjoyed the 1GHz on offer to the multitasking orientated system. This chip has powered numerous other phones and we can safely say it suits the Windows Mango operating system of the HTC Radar down to the ground.

His chip doesn’t lag much and we were very impressed with its abilities on other phones, though especially a Window’s phone such as this and the lack of lag it creates.

OS

Of course the operating system of the Radar is one of the strongest points on the phone and we were very impressed with the jumps that the Microsoft people have taken.

The new OS offers an excellent carousel feature that allows the device to have endless and very impressive multi tasking. This means the device is a very attractive purchase for people looking for something capable, though a little different. You feel if Microsoft can increase the apps available the Windows Mango OS may be a bit of a sleeper hit.

Camera

The Radar comes with a 5mp camera that can take 720p footage and has a great sensor that creates very sharp photos with some wonderful colour reproduction – something very positive for a device like this with such a good screen. We really enjoyed shots with the camera and are impressed with the HTC flasher on the Radar.

Body

The shell of the Radar is little thick, though is a sturdy lump of aluminium and it looks attractive in its black shell. We liked the back and the different materials used and the three buttons on the bottom make the device a little different in a good way.
